Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) delegation visited Minnesota
A Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) delegation consisting of President Chao He, Office of International Affairs Director Ms. Sherry Sun and general surgeon Dr. Xiangyang Song visited Minnesota during Sept. 5-10, 2011. They visited Mayo Clinic in Rochester and met Dr. David McFadden and others to explore collaboration with Mayo Clinic’s eConsult service. They also spent 2 days in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and met with many local biomedical and healthcare professionals including leaders of the Association of Minnesota Chinese Physicians (AMCP) and Minnesota Chinese Health Center (MCHC), Dr. Sam Leon of Minnesota Gastroenterology, Dr. Clifford Steer of University of Minnesota, former Medical Alley CEO Dr. Don Gerhard, Dr. Gloria Liao of Fairview Foundation, Ms. Zhen Sun of Duowei Times, University of Minnesota Internal Medicine resident Dr. Michael Min and Mr. Duo Ma of Ivy Collaborative. They had very informative and constructive discussions and even attended an extended AMCP/MCHC board meeting discussing about more detailed collaborations in the future. On the last day of their visit, they cruised on the beautiful Lake Minnetonka west to the Twin Cities in perfect late summer weather.  Lake Minnetonka reminds them of the famous West Lake in their home town Hangzhou. AMCP’s new president Dr. Zhiyi Sha, vice presidents Drs. Huagui Li, Ken Liao and Yudong Lu, secretary Dr. Dali Feng and former presidents Dr. Steven Shu, John Chen, Jianming Li and Hongsheng Guo all met the delegation.

邵逸夫医院代表团访问美国明州明尼苏达州
由何超院长、外事办主任孙晓明和普外科医生宋向阳组成的邵逸夫医院代表团于9月5-10日访问了美国明州明尼苏达州。 他们除了访问了位于Rochester著名的梅奥医学中心并为进一步合作进行磋商外，还在Minneapolis/St Paul双子城会晤了明州华人医生协会和明州华人健康中心的骨干们以及当地的其他生物医学界人士， 并对今后的合作进行了比较具体的讨论。代表团还在明州医生协会和美中医疗信息交流网（USCHIE）的邀请下荡舟美丽的Minnetonka湖。夏末风和日丽的Minnetonka湖堪与杭州西湖媲美。参与会晤的有明州华人医生协会新任会长沙志一医生、副会长李华贵医生、廖康雄医生和路玉滨医生、秘书冯大力医生、前任会长徐思海医生、陈宗禹医生、李剑明医生和郭鸿生医生、明州华人健康中心的前任主任罗蓁蓁医生和杨迎清医生、行政主管夏洁女士、核心骨干李霞女士、IT主管程良胜博士、法律顾问瞿德霖律师和心脏科医生李大元以及明州医疗科研和仪器领域的资深人士Sam Leon医生、Clifford Steer医生和Donald Gerhard博士。Fairview基金会的郭宏博士、多维时报的孙籈女士、明尼苏达大学内科住院医生闵西南和Ivy Collaborative的马铎也参加了会晤。
