AMCP and MCHC leadership teams were elected |
At the annual AMCP/MCHC summer picnic on July 23, 2011 in the scenic Lake Ann Park in the Minnesota city of Chanhassen, a new AMCP leadership team was elected by the attendee. Dr. Zhiyi Sha, a neurologist and epilepsy expert at the University of Minnesota, was elected president. Dr. Huagui Li, a cardiologist and EP expert at Fairview Southdale Hospital, and Dr. Kenneth Liao, a cardiothoracic surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive surgeries and director of heart transplant at the University of
Minnesota, have become the new vice presidents. Dr. Yubin Lu of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture will continue to be the AMCP vice president representing TCM. Dr. Dali Feng, a cardiologist at Mercy Hospital of Allina Healthcare System, was elected the new secretary. Internist Dr. Peiyi Wang of Park Nicollet Downtown Minneapolis Clinic is the new medical director of MCHC replacing outgoing director Dr. Helen Young who together with MCHC administrative director Jenny Xia and long-term backbone volunteer Xia Li has ensured the seamless operation of MCHC. Outgoing AMCP president Dr. Hongsheng Guo gave a summary of AMCP activities in the past two years and introduced new members. Under his leadership, AMCP has continued to grow in membership and activities including his signature event of “5thSaturday” gatherings and the “Sudden Cardiac Death” Educational Seminars. His service to AMCP and the community is greatly appreciated. So is the support his family provided him during his presidency!

美国明州华人医生协会和明州华人健康中心于7月23日在明尼苏达州Chanhassen市风景如画的Lake Ann 湖边公园举行了年度野餐会并选举出新的领导班子。明尼苏达大学（明大）神经科医生、癫痫病专家沙志一被选为新一任明州华人医生协会主席。Fairview Southdale医院心脏科医生、心脏电生理专家李华贵和明大心胸外科微创手术专家、心脏移植中心主任廖康雄当选为新一任副主席。中医和针灸师路玉滨将代表中医针灸继续连任医生协会副主席。 Mercy医院心脏科医生冯大力当选为医生协会新秘书。Park Nicollett内科医生王培薏义务上任明州华人健康中心医疗主任。健康中心在原医疗主任杨迎清医生、行政主管夏洁女士和长期在健康中心义务服务的骨干李霞老师等众多志愿者的共同努力下继续为社区提供了宝贵的服务。 卸任的明州华人医生协会主席郭鸿生医生回顾了医生协会近两年来的活动并介绍了新成员。在郭医生的带领下，明州华人医生协会又有了新的发展。他所创办的“第5个星期六”联谊活动和“心脏猝死防治”公众教育讲座等为医生协会和社区作出了新贡献。大家都郭医生的无私奉献和他家里对他工作的支持表示由衷的感谢！
